Welcome back to my-quest

It has been a bit quiet around here … in large part because I’ve been working on some big plans. First of all, we’re going to be revamping this entire site to focus more on bringing a community together to support each other’s dreams. The Quest videos will remain as an important tool you can use for education and inspiration but your stories will become the key focus. I’m also working on some big plans I want to share.

Travel Around the World

This is My Quest. It is much more than a new year’s resolution and certainly more than an impossible dream. When I look at what my family likes to do best …. being together, exploring and traveling, coupled with a strong desire to learn about the  world we live in … this quest seems reasonable. But it is bigger than us …

Change the World

Our family has a burning desire to do our part in making the world a better place. I was recently the curator for TEDx Ottawa and we got to meet many incredible people and hear wonderful stories of people going above and beyond to do their part.

We have helped fund a number of initiatives to help low income entrepreneurs, support kids in the third world, build schools and wells in Africa as well as working on our own initiative called zoogeez.

We’ll travel the world to follow up on some the charitable work we’ve been involved in and hope to help hands on with the whole family. We also hope to launch zoogeez before we head out across the planet so we can spread the joy and connect kids across the world.

2010 will be a planning year for this crazy initiative in terms of figuring out where we’re going to go, what we’re going to do and support while we’re there and possibly most challenging … how we’re going to pay for it.

My brother-in-law just won a car!

I’m not kidding.

How did this happen? I turns out that a number of things conspired to make things happen but ultimately I believe he attracted the car to himself. A bit crazy I know but the coincidences that started to happen leading up to the actual day nearly pointed to the win.

1. Several weeks before, he decided to put his SUV up for sale. He hadn’t bought another vehicle yet and wanted to get rid of the existing one before deciding what to buy. I was pretty surprised since he really loved that SUV.

2. He entered a contest through a radio station that was involved in a major music festival. He won two tickets for the festival and his name was entered in the draw for the car. I turns out that my own company was doing significant business with the festival and was just getting into talks with the radio station.

3. He enters a lot of contests. For some reason, he had a very good feeling about this one.

4. My wife doesn’t usually pay attention to this stuff, but this time, she said to her sister “I have a really good feeling about this one!” Surprising and unusual.

5. His name was selected to attend the draw for the car. No guarantee as there were other people there as well that could win. One of the organizers asked his son what his favourite letter was. He answered C, which is the first letter of his name. Based on that, they started handing out colored chips in alphabetical order, starting with C. Some chips could get traded in for a key and others couldn’t (those people were no longer in the running).  He got the right chip, traded it in for a  key, tried it and it WORKED! He had won the car.

These are not earth shattering coincidences, but a bit strange nonetheless. He Asked to win and he Believed he was going to win, and so did others around him. Then he relaxed about it … as if it was a done deal. This is not hope … quite different.

This is the law of attraction: Ask. Believe. Recive. How the law of attraction actually works, I don’t know. But I do know that it works  and it is extremely powerful.

What is My-Quest.tv?

Our Quest is to help you with your quest by motivating you, providing you with educational tools and a community to provide support. Everyone has dreams and things they want to achieve but it is sometimes difficult to know where to start and it is equally hard to do it alone. My-Quest.tv was created to help you learn, share and become part of a community so that you can take your life to the next level.

Is it possible to reach my dreams?

YES! In these trying times, it may be sometimes hard to believe that the world is abundant and that what you seek is within your grasp. Wealth, prosperity, happiness, joy, abundance. Many people have done it and they are sharing their secrets with you so you can do the same. You’re not alone!

Where to start?

The Quest DVD collection is a great place to start. Each DVD contains tons of advice from people like Sir Richard Branson, Archbishop Desmond Tutu, His Holiness the Dalai Lama and many many more. We’ve included many really useful segments of these movies on the website and will eventually add the ability to view the entire movies. However, having the DVDs in hand to share with friends and family and to watch regularly when you need encouragement is a really worthwhile investment.

So what to do after I watch the DVDs?

We’re working hard to bring some on-line courses and webinars from leading experts to help you take things to the next level. We are also going to extend the website so that you can share your own quest with the community by writing articles or posting videos of your quest.
